The core function of a Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) is to regulate the magnitude and direction of thrust by altering the pitch angle of the propeller blades. The blades are mounted within a rotatable hub and are synchronously rotated about their axes via an internal hydraulic system and crank-slider mechanism. The blade pitch is controlled by electro-hydraulic signals from the bridge, while the main engine speed remains constant. This enables highly efficient propulsion, adaptability to various operating conditions, and rapid thrust reversal, significantly enhancing vessel maneuverability and operational economy.
Primary Vessel Types: Research vessels, government vessels, cargo ships, engineering vessels, etc.
Our company provides comprehensive solutions for clients, including the CPP unit, diesel engines/electric motors, frequency converters, shafting systems, remote control systems, and more.
